Harriet was my Great-grandmother. She was born 23 September 1857 at Mount Fort, Ogden, Weber, Utah. She married my Englishman Great-grandpa, John Smuin Jr. in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City on 25 July 1878. She was 20 and he was 26. John and Harriet had 11 children. Franklin was my grandpa.
John Smuin was a grocer and salesman. Harriet was a homemaker.

Harriet died 7 December 1918 in Rexburg, Idaho and was buried 9 December in Rexburg.

Mrs. Harriet Smuin Dead At Rexburg.
Word was received by relatives her that Mrs. Harriet Smuin, formerly of Ogden, but now of Rexburg, Idaho, died at the residence yesterday morning after a prolonged. Illness. She Was 60 years old and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Barker. She is survived by her husband, eight children, two brothers’ and two sisters, Frank Barker, Leroy Barker, Mrs. Simeson Farley, and Mrs. Joseph Taylor. Mrs. Taylor is at Rexburg at this time. Funeral services will be held at the Idaho Town on Monday.
I wish I knew more about Harriet. I wish I had a photo of her. I wish I could hear her voice or see her words on a page. She is lost to me. Please help me find her.
