James Jacob “Jake” Sabey b. 1898, d. 1973

Jacob was born Apirl 11, 1898 to Charlotte Amanda Bushman and John Sabey. Jacob married Olive Kelson, in 1928.

Two different sources credit them with the following children:
Betty Lurane, born June 26, 1926.
Leland Everett, born Feb. 22, 1928.
Virginia Alene, born Sept. 11, 1930.
Lea Deawene (or Theo Duane), born Sept. 25, 1932.
Lillie Amanda, born Jan. 2, 1935.
James Marvin, born Sept. 30, 1937.
Clifford Eugene, born Aug. 30, 1939.

James Jacob Sabey McMINNVILLE, Ore. James Jacob Sabey, 75, former resident of Lehi, died of a heart attack Tuesday . at the McMinnville Hospital in Oregon. He was the stepfather of Betty Thornton, American Fork. . He was born April 11, 1898 in Lehi to John and Charlotte Amanda Bushman Sabey. He married Olive Nelson Phillips in 1928. Until 1944 he had lived in Lehi. Survivors include his widow and five children, Virginia Simpson, Duane Sabey, Lillie Songer, James Marvin Sabey and Eugene Sabey, aT of Orem; two stepchildren, Mrs. Thornton, American Fork, and Leland Phillips, Homedale, Ida: “Funeral services will be Thursday in McMinnville. r Berg Mortuary 185 E.
