Jonathan Turley b. 30 September 1842, Nauvoo

Theodore and Frances’s youngest son, Jonathan Turley was born on this day in 1842 in Nauvoo.  His birth and death are recorded by Theodore in this Family Memorial.  The transcription is below.Family Memorial 7983 #1

Jonathan was a dear little 3 1/2 year old when he died as the family journeyed to the Rocky Mountains.  Eliza R. Snow mentioned his death and burial in her heart-felt 13 May 1846 journal entry:ers-p-133ers-p-251

Today we remember those, like Jonathan, who were taken from our family too soon.
